K.O.G & The Zongo Brigade, a diverse nine-piece Sheffield Afrobeats, Jazz, Reggae & Soul ensemble and DJ sets by African dance outfit Afriquoi brought nonstop dancing to UK House, Reggae, Afrobeats and funky music in the foyerspaces at the Southbank Centre over the weekend for the Meltdown Festival.

The Meltdown Festival curated by Elbow frontman Guy Garvey is all about showcasing new talent, appreciating musical legends, bringing the North’s entertainment to the South and pushing audiences out of their comfort zone (Learn more about it here).

The two great acts turned the evening into one hell of a late night party! I don’t think I’ve ever experienced anything like it. Everyone felt free enough to let loose, enjoy themselves and bust more than a couple of moves (me included).

Experience it through my gallery of Gifs that captured the fun of the night!
